Thursday 21st January
PE with Joe Wicks today! Why not join him at 9am or you might like to go in your garden and run about instead! Try running laps around your garden if you have one - or if you have one, walk the family dog with your adult!
Another idea is having ago at a dance video with KidzBop. They are the same group that we dance to in our "GoNoodle" activities at school. They have many songs to choose from on their youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHscaKsr0IU&list=PL5pvzdXbuo256vQASwc9AEJv3l0Ojn5hz&index=4

Watch the lesson on Oak Academy https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/what-happens-when-you-heat-a-solid-6dgp2d In today's Science lesson, we will be looking at what happens when we heat some types of solids.
To conduct an experiment with Mrs Jones watch this and make careful observations about what is happening to your solid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiEAhgZeJME (NB I meant to say MINUS 4 and instead said 4 degrees when talking about the temperature of a freezer, please tell your child if you watch this video. Thanks!)
If you are at home and unable to watch the science lesson above, you could conduct a science experiment with your child. Find a solid such as chocolate...What happens when you heat it?
Predict, observe and assess what you see. Ask your child to write a sentence explaining what happens when you heat a solid.
