Activity 1 - Make your own printing stamps using whatever you can find around the house
- Make stamps from potatoes or other vegetables you can cut into shapes (ask for help from an adult for the cutting out part).
- Create a stamp from a polystyrene pizza base, polystyrene plate or bowl.
- Glue string shapes and patterns onto pieces of corrugated card.
- Cut up sponges and print with them.
- Wrap string around card. Paint the string and stamp the block on your paper.

Interesting facts about postage stamps
Have you ever noticed that stamps have numbers and letters on them?
- Their may be a price - can you see a price on one of the stamps?
- Their may be one of the ordinal numbers you have learnt like 1st or 2nd.
- 1st class arrives first and is the fastest way to send a letter.
- 2nd class letters take longer to get to where they are going.
- You might see the letters ER which stands for Elizabeth Regina.
- ER are the initials of the current queen - Regina means queen in another language (Latin)

Activity 1 - Make a collagraph print of your own featuring initials or letters and/or numbers
- Hunt for textured materials around your house using your sense of touch and your knowledge of materials from our Science lessons.
- You could include a price, 1st or 2nd, the initials of a famous person or your own initials as it is your own creation.
