We have been studying the book Only One You by Linda Krantz. We were inspired by the message and the art in the book and decided to create an art installation outside. We wanted to make a model of ourselves in the same style as the beautiful illustrations; we used a natural material to paint on because we can find beauty all around us and want to include it in our art.
We began by planning our own fish design, using the artwork from the book as inspiration. We carefully considered our own personalities; we thought about if we were loud or quiet, confident or shy, and tried to consider what kind of colours or patterns might represent that best.
We used our plans to create a piece of art on a stone.
