Autumn Term 1 - Settling in
Comparing sizes
We have been learning to talk about the size and length of objects using ‘bigger’ and ‘smaller’, ‘taller’ and ‘shorter’. We had great fun outside looking at all of the different sized logs. Some of us even had a go at sorting them into height order.
Repeating Patterns
We have been learning all about repeating patterns. We have practised making simple repeating patterns using a range of different objects both inside and outside of the classroom. We had lots of fun using repeating patterns to make yummy fruit 🍊🍇🍊🍇 kebabs and we have enjoyed making patterns using vegetables 🥦🥔🥕 to print with.
We’re Going on a Pumpkin Hunt!
We had great fun reading this story and talking all about our pumpkins at home. We loved searching the field for pumpkins, we found lots of pictures of pumpkins 🎃 and even some real ones hiding in the trees 🌳.
Our first week
We have had great fun this week exploring our new classroom and getting to know our new teachers and friends 👫.
