๐ The Outdoor Nativity ๐
The Christmas Story as told by Reception, in their own words.
Enjoy ๐
We have been exploring different materials to make our own firework pictures. We’ve used pastels, chalk, felt pens, glass pebbles and glitter paints! During Forest Friday we piled up lots of leaves to make a big bonfire, then we had hot chocolate and biscuits to warm us up!
This week we have collaged, coloured and painted poppies. We talked about why we wear poppies and watched a video of a remembrance service in London. We all stood outside to look at our poppies and do our own 2 minutes silence.
We celebrated by Harvest by making some fantastic craft pictures.
We love learning about Christmas! We have been listening to and retelling the Christmas story using our very own nativity set. We have enjoyed making Christmas cards for our friends and decorating our classroom with lots of decorations.
Each group were given a shape that they had been learning about in maths. They then had to look around the classroom to find the same shape Mr Men character and look at the picture to see what colours they needed to collect from the ‘colour station’. The children all worked really well as a team, taking turns and talking about what they needed to do. Some groups even gave out jobs to each person!
