LO: Multiplication and division

Today you will be completing a multiplication and division worksheet to revise all the learning from this unit.

The worksheet is below and is also available in the home learning packs.

You will need a pencil, paper and the worksheet below – if you can’t print the work sheet off you could sketch or just write the answers in your home-learning booklet.

10.30 – 10.50

Breaktime

10.50 – 11.50

English – The lighthouse

Today you will be writing the first main paragraph of your newspaper article, which will follow on from your introduction.  This paragraph you will begin providing information about some of the 5ws and you can find these from the work completed in Monday’s lesson. We will be focusing on ‘who’ (lighthouse keeper) and ‘what’ (the broken light).

Use the example in Friday example writing (Lighthouse resource 4a) to see how this paragraph might be structured. There is some extra information that we did not see in the video and this allows us to give some background about the lighthouse keeper.

You will be adding more information in the following paragraphs so you don’t need to include everything here. Try to focus on the lighthouse keeper and the key event.

Check your planning sheet from yesterday's lesson to see what information to include in this paragraph.

Task 1:

Now write the first main paragraph and remember to check your writing for spelling and punctuation.
