Inventors
We enjoyed our topic on inventors. We learnt all about George Stephenson and the steam engine. We are looking forward to going on our postponed visit to the Urban Studies Centre to learn even more about him and his inventions.
We loved learning about inventors so much that we became inventors ourselves. Our inventions are fantastic - Mrs Jones, Miss Abbott and Mrs Peet would like one of each, please!
Unfortunately, our school trip to the Urban Studies Centre in Chesterfield was cancelled due to snow and ice.
Luckily we were able to rebook our trip and went in the Summer term. The trip leader was very impressed with how much we remembered about George Stephenson even though our topic had finished a long time before we went. We loved remembering all about him and learning even more about his life in Chesterfield. We saw lots of interesting things and places - what a fantastic school trip it was!
