Comparing Life Cycles of Mammals

In this session we will be comparing the life cycles of different mammals.

VIDEO 1: Life Cycle of a Mammal

Read the information about the life cycle of mammals.

Now show your understanding - cut out and stick (or draw diagrams) the images in the correct order to show the different stages of the life cycles of two different mammals.  Next, underneath each image, write an explanation demonstrating that you understand what is happening at each of the different stages.

 

When you have completed two, try to answer the following questions:

  • What do the mammals' life cycles have in common?
  • What differences are there in their life cycles? Explain. Make comparisons.
