After only finding slugs on our minibeast hunt last October, we were thrilled to find a huge selection of insects and wildlife in the forest schools areas. We had great fun identifying each insect using our guides and worked collaboratively to investigate the different habits of these amazing creatures.
Last term, the children worked super hard in science to learn all about sound and how it travels. We focused on vibrations, particles, amplitude and pitch. The children worked practically to investigate sound and below are some of our highlights.
The children created their own TV programme to explain how sound travels and presented this to the rest of the class.
Ask you child about vibrations, particles, sound waves and the ear.
