Outdoor play

In our Nursery we really value outdoor learning through play. Outdoors is where children can be loud, messy, free and fast! They can explore risk as they build, climb, ride, and move heavy objects. They can develop their gross motor skills with large scale water play and construction, and their imagination in the mud kitchen. Sometimes they can simply "be", or jump in muddy puddles! Outdoors is where many young children want to be, which is why we go out every day. It's fun being 3 and 4 and playing outside!

New sand pit!

Mrs Herrett had the best idea-to make the digging area into a sandpit! We are loving using our muscles to lift heavy buckets, and fill them to make sand castles. 🏖

Water Play

Outdoor water play is great for developing little muscles as children transport water in various large containers. They are learning all about volume and capacity, and can experiment and find out how water moves and flows.

Bonfire Night!

Loving the mud kitchen’s new space.
