Perspective illusion challenge

We were very impressed by the contributions we received over the last few weeks for our projects. Well done! This week we wanted to set a more individual challenge. We would like to you try to make a perspective illusion where you are jumping/diving 'into' a cup/jar/tin/Pringles tube (other brands are available!) as you can see in the examples below. You need to make sure the object you are jumping into is much closer to the camera than you are and you are in the background. It is quite tricky to add the splash at the end - don't worry about this! It will take a bit of practice getting it all lined up exactly. Good luck, email the finished video to your class teacher and keep an eye on this page to see everyone's contributions!

If you do want to add a splash at the end you need to film two separate videos. One of the jump itself and then one (preferably with the cup and camera in the same place, unlike Mrs Jones'!) of a stone being dropped into your cup which should be full of water to create a big splash. You then crop the end off the jump video so you can see the child going 'into' the cup but cut the video before they completely disappear. Then crop the part of the splash video where you see the stone enter the cup, you should be able to crop the video so you can see the start of the splash. You then put the videos together using a free editing app such as iMovie. We have already had some brilliant examples both using and not using the splash at the end! Keep them coming and have lots of fun!

Mrs Jones’ attempt - I’m positive yours will be much better than mine!
