We LOVE reading!

Students from Newbold Outwood Grange visited us in Year 1 again to share their favourite books. They made some amazing story telling props that made it fun.

Next time we are going to read our favourite books to THEM!

Mr Fentem from MAST tells us stories of Jesus in assembly

Mrs Martin's class learned all about George Stephenson

Four Year 5 children were selected to become Bronze Ambassadors. This involved a day at the English Institute of Sport to gain training and coaching on how to be an Ambassador. The role will involve organising a Level 1 inter-school sports competition for the pupils. The children will promote, organise, train other mini leaders and lead the competition.

While the children were at the EIS they worked alongside Ben Pipes (captain of the team GB Olympic volleyball team) and Jessica Ennis-Hill also 'popped' in to say hello.

Y6 have fun at Kingswood!

Jo Jackson bought in a REAL Olympic medal today! She won a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle at the Beijing Olympics.

We all did some exhausting training with her and then learned all about how she followed her dreams and became a top swimmer.
