Our topic for Autumn 1 is Pirates! We have been looking at the book 'Pirate Pete'. We have been using the continuous provision to act out and retell the story.
During our topic lessons we have also been doing Geography. We have been looking at different types of maps and talked about what these types of maps show. We looked at different symbols and colours and thought about what they might be. Children really enjoyed zooming in on maps to find familiar landmarks. We also used a globe to find the country we live in.
Our Pirate Puppet homework is in...we did amazing work and are very proud of the results!
Mrs Jones, Miss Abbott and Miss Thring are thrilled with this week's homework! Well done to all of you!
Our Pirate Movie
We made a movie based on the book Class 3 All At Sea. This is our trailer, the full movie can be found on the English section. We hope you enjoy our film!
Pirate Day!
We had a fantastic time on Pirate Day! In addition to the pirate maths we did, we also used a map to give directions and did some programming using the computer and a Beebot.
We also learnt a new song and dance. If you click the link below you could learn it too!
We went on a treasure hunt outside. We used a map to give directions and used a key. We found treasure!
