Hi everybody!
I am so excited to welcome you all back to school tomorrow. I hope you are looking forward to it too!
Classrooms.
You will see from the pictures above that our classroom looks quite different to what it did before. It has had a fresh lick of paint and all the tables are facing forwards. It really does look incredibly smart! We will be in this classroom for the first three weeks of school and then on the 28th September, you will move classrooms to be with your new teachers.
What to bring to school.
From tomorrow, you can bring in snacks, water bottles and packed lunches as normal but these will need to be kept underneath your desks in the classroom. Please don't bring in anything that you don't need as space will be tight under desks. We are not using the cloakroom so you will need to hang your coat on the back of your chair. You don't need to bring any stationery equipment as everyone will have their very own pack with pencil, glue, rubbers, etc.
Drop-off and pick-up.
I will be meeting you at our entrance tomorrow which will be on the infant yard near the main building. Our start time is slightly earlier than it used to be at 8:35am. This means we will also finish a bit earlier at 3:15pm. The start and pick-up location is the same.
P.E and Swimming.
Our P.E slot is now on a Thursday so usually, you will need to come to school wearing your P.E kit as we won't be storing kits in school anymore. You will take them home every time you use them. You do not need to wear your kit tomorrow as these first couple of days will be about getting you settled back in and talking lots with each other. From next Thursday though, please make sure you wear your kit to school. Some of the time we will be outside for P.E so make sure you are wearing a kit which will keep you warm and dry.
Swimming will not be taking place for the first few weeks of school so you do not need to worry about kits for that just yet.
I'm always here!
Obviously we are hoping to get back to normal as much as possible but we know there are a few changes like extra hand washing and different times to get used to. But I do want you to know that I am always at the end of an email if you do have any other questions which pop up (however random they might seem!)
Can't wait to see you tomorrow! See you then.
