The Reception and Nursery children were fantastic performing and singing in our Christmas play 'A wriggly nativity'. The children who had speaking parts were all superstars and were very brave standing up and speaking in front of the huge audience of mummies, daddies and family members.
We are very proud of you all. Well done and Merry Christmas!
Kindness in our community
We applied our core values of respect and compassion by extending our kind acts to the wider community. The children baked buns and we walked to the local care home. The children were so polite and friendly to the elderly residents. We chatted together and shared the buns we made. We also sang nursery rhymes together. There were lots of smiles from both the children and elderly residents - we learnt that an act of kindness can warm peoples hearts and brighten up their day 🥰
Our interest in Autumn
During the last few weeks of term, the children have been noticing the changes that Autumn brings. They have been bringing in different Autumn treasures which they have found.... conkers, acorns and different coloured leaves. They have also been talking about pumpkins, as they have seen them for sale in the shops. To explore our interest further we investigated and wondered.....click on the links below to find out more about our Autumn based enquiries and projects.
Settling in to Reception
We have had a great first two weeks settling into school life. We’ve been busy exploring our new classroom and getting to know our new teachers and friends!
