The Royal Wedding
We had a fabulous day celebrating the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. We came to school dressed as Princesses or Princes. We enjoyed our lunch all together in the classroom and we had lots of fun waving our flags and wearing the crowns we had made.
Chinese New Year
We have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We have enjoyed writing Chinese letters and numbers using different tools. We have made Chinese lanterns in the workshop and we have even tried some Chinese food! We also learnt a Chinese Lion dance where we waved ribbons and played instruments. This was lots of fun!
Exploring Shapes
We have enjoyed learning about shapes. We have been painting pictures using different shapes and we went on a shape hunt around our school to see how many shapes we could find in the environment.
Settling in and exploring our new Reception Class
The children have settled in well to their new class and daily routines, well done everyone! We have had lots of fun making new friends and exploring our indoor and outdoor areas.
Italy Week!
We have been learning all about Harvest in Italy. We have learnt about different festivals of food in Italy and we looked at the work of Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo and his face pictures made from fruit and vegetables. We learnt how to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' in Italian and we performed this in front of the whole school in our Friday Harvest Assembly.
