Interesting Facts

When you are thinking of climbing a mountain such as Snowdon in Wales you must always:

  • Check the weather forecast before you leave.

  • Follow mountain safety guidelines.
  • Wear sensible clothing and walking boots, you will appreciate that extra grip.
  • Be prepared for all weathers, it may be sunny and warm at the start, but the weather is very different at the summit.
  • Take plenty of food and drink – a balanced lunchbox is best but we also had sweets and biscuits to keep you going.

Design some snow goggles for the postman to wear on his holiday in Wales. Can you find a suitable material to cover the slots so that the rain and snow doesn't blow into his eyes.

Remember he must be able to see when the slots are covered.
