Shrek – A twist on traditional tales

Week 4 - Twists

This week we have been thinking about changes we could make to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have done some acting out, we have drawn our ideas for writing and we are in the process of writing our stories down.

Week 3 - Heroes and Villains

This week we did some work on how writers create good and bad characters. We thought of adjectives to describe the character we were assigned and then used our villain words to create a wanted poster.

Week 2 - Exciting Writing.

This week we made story maps of 'The Three Little Pigs' then we wrote the story in our books using our plan. We did such a great job!

Week 1 - Features of traditional tales.

This week we have been learning about the key ingredients in Fairy Tales.

We have identified the types of characters you usually find in them and we have watched clips from Shrek to identify which key ingredients were used in this tale with a twist.

Which Traditional Tales can you spot in the picture below?
