Wednesday

We are learning how to write sentences that make sense. They should have a capital letter to start, a full stop to finish and a space between every word.

All letters apart from the capital at the start should be lower case and sit in the correct position on the line.

Depending on your child's ability, you may need to help them to do this.

Look at the picture and talk with your child about 'who' is 'doing', 'what, 'where'. Say this as a sentence-for example, The boy is eating an apple on the sofa. Say it out loud 3 times with your child and then write it.

They may want to write more than one sentence about what they can see using thw 'who', 'doing'  'what', 'where' format, or maybe use a different picture.
