This week we are learning all about spiders! In Eric Carle’s story called ‘The Very Busy Spider’ you can hear all about a spider who is very busy spinning her web ๐ธ๐ท
You could have a go at making your own spider web with the help of your adult. You could collect sticks from outside and lay the sticks over each other then twist string or wool around the sticks to make a spiral pattern for the web.
Would you like to have a go at creating some spider web art? If you click on the picture below it will take you to the activity instructions.
Click on the picture to download the PowerPoint and learn all about Spiders.
๐ท Can you write an information page about Spiders using the facts you have learnt?
๐ท Don’t forget to write in sentences and use your phonics to help you spell the words.
๐ท Can you take a photograph of your writing and email it to us? We can then use your information page to make an online class fact page! ๐ท๐ธ
Snuggle in with a blanket, yummy snacks and watch this loveable film about a spider called Charlotte ๐ท and her friend Wilbur the pig.
It is currently available on Netflix and Amazon Prime or you can find the movie and clips on YouTube. If you can’t find Charlotte’s Web then choose another film! Do you have any films recommendations for your friends?

The team at White Rose Maths (which we use in school) have produced daily maths activities for each week. Here are a few examples of the daily activity suggestions for this week. You don’t have to have these Pirate based books to be able to complete the activities.
