Week commencing 1st March 2021

What do you think dinosaurs like to eat? If you click on the picture above it will take you to a PowerPoint to find out more about what dinosaurs like to eat. Some dinosaurs are herbivores, some are carnivores and some are omnivores. Herbivores like to eat plants, carnivores like to eat animals and omnivores like to eat both plants and animals. After you have looked at the powerpoint you could have a go at sorting dinosaurs into carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. If you have dinosaurs at home you could sort them into groups or you could use the sheets below to cut out and stick the dinosaurs into the right group. Click on the link under the picture to access the sorting sheets.

In PE this week we are going on a trip to the seaside. Let’s prepare for a swim in the ocean.

  • Can you practise moving through the water using different swimming strokes such as front crawl, breastsroke, and doggy paddle.
  • Talk to your adult about the different creatures you might see in the ocean. For example you may see fish, crabs, dolphins and sea horses. Can you think of movements you could do for these different creatures?
  • Look at all the seaweed! Practise waving your arms and pretend to be seaweed in the ocean.
