Y2-Mrs Wood & Mrs Higham

Hello and welcome to Year Two!! We are going to have fun learning even more this year.

You already know Mrs Wood and Miss Lawless and our team is joined this year by Mrs Higham.

Mrs Wood will teach all day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon. Mrs Higham will teach all day Wednesday and Friday morning.

We will start our day at 8.50. Please wait on the playground like last year and we will come to meet you.

Our day will finish at 3.30 and we will bring you to the steps outside the building where you will wait until we see your grown up.

PE is on a Monday morning - a great way to start the week!!! Sometimes it will be in the hall and sometimes it will be outside. Please come to school in your PE kit and make sure that it is suitable for the weather as you will stay in this all day. Your kit should be a white t-shirt, dark shorts or bottoms and sensible trainers. Occasionally there will be other sporting events planned; we will let you know through the school app of any additional days PE kits are required.

Swimming. This year you get the chance to go swimming. This will be every other Tuesday depending which group you are in. You will find out which group you are in when you are back at school. You will need to bring your swimming kit - swimsuit/short trunks, a towel and a swimming cap. (caps can be purchased from school)

You don't need to bring a lot to school. The things you will need are:

a book bag (no rucksacks please as we do not have room for them)
a small water bottle with a sports cap, not a screw lid
fruit or vegetables for snack in the afternoon if you wish (fruit is still provided at morning break)
a lunchbox/bag if necessary - these will be put on a trolley by the door as you enter the classroom like last year.

We have been working hard making some changes to our classroom although a lot of things will still be familiar.

We hope you have had a lovely summer and we are really looking forward to seeing you all.
